JEWELLERY

Tesori Bellini jewellery, like all jewellery, is delicate and should be worn and handled with care.

Please avoid contact with all liquids and chemicals including perfume, hairsprays, body lotions, cleaning products, sea water, chlorine and sweat. Do not immerse in water, expose to humidity, or store in direct sunlight. Avoid leaving in wet areas, e.g. bathrooms. If inevitably exposed to liquids such as sweat, please ensure you wipe it down, dry it off asap to avoid the acidity in your skin reacting with the plating, which can wear it out quicker than it otherwise would. Some people naturally have higher levels of acidity in their skin, and tend to wear out plated jewellery quicker than others. This along with exposure to other factors such as those listed above, means the exact lifetime of the plating cannot be guaranteed.

Plated metals will experience acceptable tarnishing and wear over time. Silver and gold may tarnish when exposed to elements including the air. While we advise you avoid the elements as much as possible to reduce the tarnishing, sometimes some tarnishing is inevitable, particularly when a piece has not been worn, or stored ideally for a period of time. Simply use a silver polishing cloth or silver dipping solution to clean up the surfaces. Matte, brushed, and specialty finishes can often be cleaned using a standard pencil eraser first, then wiped down with a silver cleaning cloth.

To ensure your earrings don't fall out, please gently squeeze the earring hooks together once they are in the ear to secure them. Alternatively, you could add a suitable backing to the hook.

STORAGE

We recommend storing your jewellery in individual sealed polypropylene or zip lock bags, which is part of most of our packaging. Avoid storing multiple pieces together, or in ways that will allow surfaces to rub, scratch and damage each other. Including a silica gel sachet will help to remove moisture from the air.

LEATHER

Leather is designed to age with wear, and may soften and fade over time.

We highly recommend you spray your new leather product with a quality leather protector, prior to use & continue to condition it with a leather cream. Please do not condition or moisturize metallic leather. Avoid getting moisture on any metal hard ware, including the zips, embellishments & buckles. Be aware that light coloured leather mark easily, so extra care should be taken.

STORAGE

When not in use, store your leather accessory in its appropriate dust bag. Do not store in plastic, heat or in direct sunlight.

PATENT LEATHER

Only the highest quality patent leather from the best tanneries from Europe and Asia are used in the leather products available at Tesori Bellini. It is commonly known with patent leather that because of the nature of the finish, it can in some instances mark other lighter coloured patent leather. This will generally occur when left leather to leather for extensive periods of time, or under hot lights / heat.

  • the colour will not come out on clothing or fabric, nor will it mark other leather types
  • you can treat all patent leather with a leather protectant to protect against marking and we would recommend you do this prior to use.

STORAGE

Do not store patent leather colours together, leather to leather. Keep individual pieces in their appropriate dust bag.  Do not store in plastic, heat or in direct sunlight.
